So..."Battlestar Galactica" finale...

How 'bout that? It was a bit puzzling? I mean, I can't say I'm disappointed because I didn't really expect it to be a straightforward, piece-by-piece explanation. But...huh.

And that's pretty much all Andie, Sid and I had to say to each other immediately following. So, yeah. What did YOU think? I think I need to watch it again. Frankly, I think I need to watch the entire series again. Some of the folks I go to Meeting with have been tossing the idea around of a bunch of us getting together and doing The Great BSG Rewatch, which would rock. (Yes, Quakers and Battlestar Galactica. I know, right?)

But no matter my confusion, I am very sad to miss one of the best, most challenging and intelligent shows on television. One that truly transcended the genre. Also, no bets on the likelihood of me downloading "All Along The Watchtower" before the day is through.*

Again, your thoughts? I may have more after I rewatch the finale.

*Done and done!

I was an old school Battlestar fan way back when and never jumped on the more recent bandwagon even though I have heard great things about it. It's one of those shows I plan on waching when I am freed from scholastic purgatory in May 2009. My main squeeze, Spar Ba and his bestfriend, Gus Quagmire, love the show. They totally geek out about it. It's so cute!

I thought Starbuck was a strange combination of the worst Angel I've ever heard of or the very best. Flawed to perfection! I thought perhaps she was really a cylon child to the boxed artist.

Baltar ends up being like a good guy. That screwed with my whole world view because he's such a self centered ass.

Lee Adama ends up... what? Alone? Adventuring?

I knew that the whole thing would repeat because they mention it again and again throughout the series.

I thought it was great that Galen killed the other Cylon because I hated her. I liked him the whole way through.

LOL A little mind boggling but a good ride. I will miss watching that show.

Oh and just so you know, the Unitarians are totally into it too. Surprise, surprise.

I definitely thought (and still kind of do) that Starbuck's dad was Seven. Interesting.

I don't know that Baltar was exactly a good guy so much as actually TRIED to do the right thing for once. You know, broken clock and all that.

I was not pleased with Chief killing Tori if only because it was annoying and he suffered no consequences. Hey, you know who else killed his own wife? TIGH. Did he...strangle himself for it? No, he fucked Caprica and knocked her up and then dumped her. Ahem. Sorry. Hahah.

I'm tellin' ya...Unitarians and Friends should TOTALLY hang out!
